What are the roots of FIRST?

We are one of the oldest churches in Calgary, established May 9, 1900 by the Swedish community of Calgary.

1. The first location was where Bow Valley Square now stands (2nd Street and 6th Avenue)
   
2. The second location; on the corner of 7th Avenue and 9th Street.
   
3. Since 1982 we have been in the Stathcona Aspen Estates area of SW Calgary.

What draws people to FIRST?

Our focus on meeting the specific needs of all who come. It is a church with all ages and life situations. It is relevant to the times we live in; bringing God's truths into the context of our lives.

We are a congregation that profoundly enriches the lives of all who come to experience the joy of walking with the Lord through the mazes of life.
